Not interested in a restuarant or grocery store. More of a Ice Cream Parlor.

HELLLLOOOO...the question is posted in New Orleans. Why are you giving chains and local listings not in New Orleans? Read the questions!

Anyway now that I got that out. There used to be a Hagendaz in the Quarter but its closed now. They need some ice cream places. Like to know myself.

I don't mind a Baskin Robbins, and I hear those Marble Slab & Cold Stones are good, but I've never been.

There are a couple of phenomenal New Orleans ice cream joints I would highly recommend though.

#1 Angelo Brocato's on Carrolton. Been reopened for a while, and is a New Orleans tradition. If you don't want spumoni or torrincina, there're plenty of other flavors to choose from, including italian ices as well.

#2 Creole Creamery on Prytania. Rich delicious high-butterfat ice cream that makes ya mouth go wow. It's also kind of cool, because it's an old McKenzies and still maintains the same storefront.

#3 Gelato Pazzo Cafe. On Oak St. near Carrolton. It's a new place, and a little pricy, but you talk about delicious. Rich, fresh, flavors. The TLC they put in every batch is palpable on the tongue. I hear they also do paninis & stuff, but I've just been there for the gelato.

Whoa TRAVELER! Relax dude!

This is just for fun. No actual lives are stake here. I almost gave an answer that wasn't in NOLA because I didn't find this question under NOLA. I happen to see your cries and realized I was about to make the same "mistake" as the others.

So chill dude and leave those poor people alone. And go get some ice cream before you hurt yourself.

Why go to a national chain?

Try Angelo Brocato's on Canal and Carrolton. It's an Italian pastry shop that has tons of different flavors of gelato (italian style ice cream) as well as italian in creams like torrancino, spumoni and cassata. They also have different pastries and coffees on site. Definitely my favorite!

Cold Stone. If it's not in your area yet it will be soon. This chain is spreading like wildfire! And it's sooooooooo gooooood! :)

Ted Drewes' Frozen Custard in the St. Louis area. You gotta try it...

I guess any Baskin & Robbins (i'm not sure of the spelling) outlet would be a great idea
